The EB-1C Green Card for “Multinational” Executives or Managers

The EB-1C Green Card allows international companies to sponsor their managers or executives for permanent U.S. residency based on their leadership roles in the U.S. and abroad. It’s similar to the L-1A visa, but as a Green Card, it’s reviewed more strictly and can be harder to obtain.
In some cases, qualified executives already in the U.S. on valid work visas (like the L-1A) can adjust their status to permanent residency without leaving the country. Others may complete the process through Consular Processing abroad.

EB-1C Benefits:
-
Grants permanent U.S. residency (Green Card) for the executive or manager, their spouse, and unmarried children under 21.
-
Can be processed quickly through Premium Processing.
-
Provides the right to live and work permanently in the United States.
Note: Green Card holders become U.S. tax residents, so this visa is only appropriate for those intending to live in the U.S. full-time rather than occasionally. For managers or executives who will only be in the U.S. occassionally, the L-1A Visa is likely more appropriate as well as quicker to obtain.
